...apparently I am not allowed to discard my sourdough starter?

Husband literally yelled at me when I took it out to the compost. Said he'd use it for something if I didn't want to keep it up. So it's back in the fridge.

a month from now when it has gone off from not being fed it will be compost time anyways, so.

idk mine survived months at a time, dormant in the fridge, and then would speedily revive upon warmth/flour? so there may be life in the old girl yet.

it's like that roman sourdough starter the archaeologists found and revived? i can't find that article but here is another one about very old starters
