...so, regarding what was in Dean's one book that didn't end with Michael blasting the universe:

• we know the archangel blade doesn't kill the vessel.


• there is one archangel in our universe who is still kind of a going concern


• Jack replied "My Uncle is in the Cage." when Michael called him his nephew


• the Cage is not as structurally sound as one might like really

...IS ADAM FINALLY GETTING OUT OF THE CAGE?

on the other hand that amounts to trading one unhinged Michael for a differently-unhinged Michael which might not actually represent an improvement in the situation.

Well, I suppose. If John comes back in the picture in some way in 300th ep, then that just leaves Adam as the final dangling Winchester thread.

I have to wonder about the reference to Pamela being blinded by Cas' true form. I wonder if they're dropping an anvil with that. It just kinda stuck out as not really necessary to the plot point.

I think it was just a gentle poke to Dean's memory, since the scenario immediately changed to incorporate Pamela's blindness?

But now I'm comparing Dean's reaction to Pamela coming on to him back when they first met to their conversation in this episode - because Dean was definitely interested in Pamela until the whole thing ended up in an ER trip...
