this is just to say
Jul. 25th, 2023 07:03 pmfuck each and every activity ancillary to having a car.
today I have:
- sorted out insurance (paid the ADHD tax there, in cash, tears, and blood)
- got the tags renewed (just managed to avoid the ADHD tax)
- NOT managed to get to the tire shop to deal with the very flat tire
- NOT rented a car so I can still go to work tomorrow while Husband takes the very flat tire to the shop
...the tire shop is not booking appointments online prior to Friday and I am like: am I supposed to sit here until then? tried calling them but nobody picked up despite their alleged "open" status.
...the rent-a-car place that's walkable from my house is only open during business hours so if I can't swear I can have it back by 5 PM Friday I have to keep it through Monday, an extra 2 days (and $200) that I don't want, and I can't swear I can have it back by 5 PM Friday until I know what the tire shop can do for me.
have messaged my boss. told her essentially 'if I can't WFH tomorrow then I need PTO, car no go.' will get prognosis from tire shop in the morning I guess? and hopefully I can stop myself from stewing about it.
